Work Experience Update – DM Engineering

This week, we had the pleasure of hosting two talented students for their work experience placements.

Jamie Kirkbride: A Rising Star in CNC Machining

Jamie Kirkbride from Netherhall School spent the week shadowing our machinists, gaining valuable experience in CNC machining and quality control. His attitude and skills, particularly with CAD/CAM, impressed Garry, our Machine Shop Manager, who said he’d consider Jamie for a future apprenticeship. Well done, Jamie!

Ace Savage: A Bright Future in Precision Engineering

Ace Savage from St Benedict’s School also joined us, showing professionalism and curiosity throughout the week. He gained great insight into precision engineering, and we hope it has inspired him for the future. Good luck, Ace!

It’s rewarding to see young talent develop through work experience, and we’re excited to see where Jamie and Ace’s journeys take them. We’re proud to support the next generation of engineers!
